Tha Muang District

Tha Muang ((タイ語:ท่าม่วง)) is a district (''Amphoe'') in the southern part of Kanchanaburi Province, central Thailand.
==History==
The district was established in 1898, the named Tai (ใต้). Mr. Chom was the first head of district. Later people in the district moved southward to nearby ''Wat'' Si Loha Rat Bamrung then they changed the district name to be Wang Khanai (วังขนาย). In 1939 ''Phra'' Woraphak Phibun, then the head of district, renamed the district to Tha Muang after the name of the central ''tambon''.
